Ataraxy is an interactive visual, aural and tactile activity app designed as an aid to meditation and to help with concentration and focus. Users have a choice of number of beautifully designed labyrinth-like shapes upon which they can cause one or more small balls to negotiate. Through this action, the balls themselves produce sounds that are in direct correlation to the manner in which they are moving, creating a synaesthetic effect when combined with their visual appearance and the movements of the player who is causing the movement. In this sense Ataraxy is also an abstract musical instrument.
